Fishing for Thunder Storms, or: Things to do in East Texas after the sun goes down.

A Town Without Pity...

Hallelujah!  At long last the good ole Texas Norther everyone's been waiting on blew through tonight, and The Fabulous Feathermaye and I found some good spots to record it all.

I suppose this may seem like unusual  behavior for grandparents, but doing this stuff is a dream-come-true.

With constant monitoring of 'Wundermap', we tracked inbound squall lines and sat back to capture once-in-a-lifetime images.  These incredible shots were done on both a SONY DSLR-A100 as well as Cannon PowerShot A590IS .  No special lenses were employed and neither one of us tripped or did a face plant.  Starbuck was with us as well, we took the opportunity to do a little 'G. Gordon Liddy'-type training, and she has also evolved more in the 'animal world'!  Starbuck can now look at all those cats that sit around taunting her and all she does is mutter a few 'b-woofs'.  She'll look back at me as if saying: "Hey, I didn't bark..."

Here I go again, digressing back into the irrelevant...

Unreal capture by Feathermay!

I could go on, but as Feathermaye is always reminding me: "Sometimes, words are unnecessary."

My wife is not only beautiful, and extraordinarily wise, she has an UNCANNY artists eye.

We hope you enjoy these, if only a fraction as much as we did working for them.  Be sure to FOLLOW THIS BLOG, as well as Feathermaye is Here For The AWESOME for more of our exciting discoveries, images and some down home story-telling!

Oh yeah, you know we're on Facebook too!
