I must say a fond word of farewell to an old friend, Chester Thomas. Even as sick as he was, he left his hospice in Fla. and came to G-town for Momma's funeral. The man was a legend, to those of us a few years younger. He could always be found to do something unique (like chugging three bottles of beer at once) or something like that, always keeping those around him in stitches with his humor.
He took my little brother under his wing and taught him the construction business and remained a loyal and respected friend. We'll miss the hell out of you, Chester. God Speed...
